What do you do in your spare time? I am part of the UJ athletics team, I do voluntarily work at the SPCA and I assist in running my dad’s business.
Why did you enter Miss Hellene 2010? During the course of the last year, I have made a very definite transition. From school attendee to university student. From someone who has been dependant on my parents for most things to earning my own money. And ultimately from young girl to young lady. And what better way to complete this process than to share everything that I have become and learnt within Miss Hellene.
If you won Miss Hellene 2010 how would you assist the Hellenic Community in South Africa? By starting at home, here in Johannesburg, I would create a platform for the development of young Greek ladies.
By arranging smaller events within the schooling and university arenas, based on aspects such as “Self Confidence within Societal Groups”; “Career Orientation”; “How to Serve the Community/Family” a module could be created. This module could then be sent to other major cities, such as Cape Town and Port Elizabeth and would be administered by influential women from the Greek community. It is very important to me that young Greek ladies develop their passions and professional aspirations and see through their dreams in life without doubt and under the negativity of peer pressure.
